Sometime early in my career, Recruiters® descended upon the software industry like locuses on a field of fresh fruit.
I was taken aback and it took me a while to process this new trend.
Some recuiters were genuinely helpful.
However, the vast majority were completely worthless leeches and pimps, trying to put themselves between Software Developers and Jobs™ and make bank in the process, without adding any value whatsoever. Some of them were downright rude.
I'm sure many of you have had similar experiences, and I would be thrilled if you share them here.
Honestly there are a few good recruiters out there that genuinely add value and smooth the job hunting process.
However, the industry overall is a complete cesspool of ignorant sharks, and I really think that both the gems and the ignorant sharks should be taken to task.
